What Challenges Did Overcome?
Jonas Salk faced many obstacles such as the lack of technology and even now there isn't a lot of technology to complete what he did. He also fell into many hardships such as his virus killing people and causing even worse cases of polio that left them paralyzed. Salk was also a bit scared when Albert Sabin, a medical researcher came up with an oral vaccine for polio also. He felt that people would want to take Sabin's vaccine instead of his. Salk also only made this vaccine for humanitarian reasons. He didn't get paid for it. He also never patented it, which could have given him over $7 billion USD.
